There are a range of food options both inside and around the EGU General Assembly at the Austria Center Vienna (ACV).
The conference floorplans outline the location of on-site food vendors, coffee breaks, and water refill stations throughout the building:
- Restaurants are marked with a fork and knife symbol.
- Coffee spots are indicated by a mug symbol.
- Water stations are marked with a water drop symbol.
Outside the ACV there are several food options available within a few minutes walk of the venue, including a Billa supermarket at Leonard-Bernstein-Straße 4, a Hofer supermarket on the lower level of the walkway at Donau-City-Straße 9, and a Ströck bakery open between 06:30 and 18:00 each weekday, on the upper level of Donau-City-Straße 9.

As many of you know, last year MOTTO Catering introduced a pre-order system for hot meals via QR code in addition to on-site sales. This system was very well received by many attendees.
Building on this success, we would now like to take the next step and transition to a fully online pre-order system for hot meals as part of a zero-waste initiative. The goal is to improve planning, avoid overproduction, and actively reduce food waste.
In practical terms, this means: Orders for hot meals at the beer garden must be placed online by 10:00 AM on the respective day. You are welcome to pre-order your lunch for one day, the entire week, or anything in-between. Those who pre-order their hot meals will be offered a complimentary sweet treat (cake or apple).
