The EGU General Assembly has been held in the city of Vienna, Austria for 25 years as of the EGU26 meeting. The city and its inhabitants have generously welcomed our members and we are always delighted to be able to return here each year. If you are travelling to Vienna, there is lots to see and do around the meeting itself, do not miss out on any activities happening by checking the official city of Vienna tourist information page.

There are several ways to access the city, and as much as possible we encourage our participants to choose sustainable travel options – the train being a very popular one. Arriving into the main train station in Vienna, the Wien Hauptbahnhof, you will have many transport options to take you to the venue at the Austria Center Vienna (ACV). If you have paid for on-site registration you will also receive a complimentary public transit pass covering you from the Sunday the meeting starts to Saturday – this ticket is on the back of your name badge.
